Kyren Wilson through to semi-finals of the Northern Ireland Open

Kyren Wilson is in to the semi-finals of the Northern Ireland Open

Kyren Wilson followed up his victory over Ronnie O'Sullivan by winning a final-frame decider against Mark Williams to reach the semi-finals of the Northern Ireland Open.

The Englishman, having come through a tight 4-3 encounter on Thursday, had an equally tough challenge before eventually edging out his Welsh opponent 5-4 in Belfast.

Wilson, who had breaks of 95 and 91 and won the deciding frame 76-1, will face Mark King after he came from 3-2 down to beat Hossein Vafaei Ayouri 5-3.

The other semi-final sees Barry Hawkins, a comfortable 5-2 winner over Michael White, facing Anthony Hamilton, who ended home favourite Mark Allen's chances by a similar margin.

"As the week has gone on I've felt more confident," Hawkins told worldsnooker.com.

"One day to the next can be completely different. I'll just try to keep my focus and try to concentrate and see what happens but there are no guarantees."
