Selby eased to a 9-3 win despite a slow start. He did not pot a ball in the first frame and just one in the second, which Bingham took in emphatic style thanks to a clearance of 127.
However, the world number one hit back to win the next three, nudging ahead for the first time with a break of 103, the first of his three centuries in the match.
Bingham replied with 101 to level up, but Selby won the last two frames of the session with breaks of 58 and 76 to claim a 5-3 lead, and in the evening session it was all one way.
Selby reeled off four further frames without reply, as breaks of 63, 100, 125 and 67 set up another clash with Ding, the player he beat in the World Championship final in May but lost to in the title match at last month's Shanghai Masters.
Ding booked his place in the final on Friday, knocking Judd Trump out of the tournament being played in Daqing, China. The champion on Sunday takes home prize money of £125,000.
