CYRANO AGENCY Helmer Comes Back with Sci-fi Thriller

 

AM 11:00, directed by KIM Hyun-seok of Cyrano Agency (2010) and When Romance Meets Destiny (2005), is scheduled to open in November. Last October 28th, a production report press conference was held at the CGV Apgujeong in Gangnam, Seoul. The director and cast, including JUNG Jae-young, CHOI Daniel and KIM Ok-vin attended.

Sci-fi thriller AM 11:00 tells the story of unexpected incidents occurring when a team of researchers attempt a dangerous time travel experiment upon being ordered to discontinue the project. Woo-suk (played by JUNG Jae-young) and Young-eun (played by KIM Ok-vin) succeed in travelling 24 hours forward to 11 a.m. the next morning only to discover the lab site has been abandoned and turned to ruins. With the surveillance camera recordings as the sole clue, they investigate for the next 24 hours the mysterious happenings that occurred at the lab.

JUNG jae-young of Our Sun-hi and Confession of Murder stars as the brilliant physicist Woo-suk who leads the time travel project while rising star CHOI Daniel of Cyrano Agency and Traffickers stars as Ji-wan, a rational physicist who puts more trust into people than technology. Also, KIM Ok-vin of Thirst (2009) and The Actresses (2009), plays Young-eun, the cool-headed researcher.

At the press conference, KIM Hyun-seok explained that as “I declared I would retire from the romantic comedy genre after Cyrano Agency, it was impossible to go back on my word” adding that “Since I decided to direct a script written by someone else, it may as well be a genre I couldn’t write myself, and that is why I chose AM 11:00."

 
AM 11:00 is financed and distributed by CJ Entertainment is scheduled to open domestically on November 28th.
