    LEE Jong-hyun, member of Korean boy band CNBLUE will make his debut in Japanese film Ikiru Machi which is about the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011.

    Ikiru Machi is a human drama to ask what is ‘living’ and ‘existing’ to family survived five years after the Great East Japan Earthquake. SATO Chieko (NATSUKI Mari) has lived happily with her fisherman husband and two children in the seaside town where she was born and raised. Her life changes after the explosion of nuclear power plant on March 11th 2011. She tries to rebuild her life to run a guest house after staying shelter but her two children have been so shocked by the disaster that conflicts with her become deepen. One day, Do-hyun (LEE Jong-hyun) who once lived in the same village returns from Korea. He tells stories about her husband that she didn’t know and the family gradually falls into place. 

    The film was shot in the seaside town of Ishinomaki, where was actually damaged by the 5.0-magnitude quake and tsunami. In addition, it is making the headlines as NATSUKI Mari played a main role in ten years, who works in various fields like screens and music. The film is directed by actor/director SAKAKI Hideo and is shooting for release in the spring of 2018.
