Buoyed by the belatedly rising popularity of its single album “Up & Down,” rookie girl group EXID will appear on TV music programs this week.

The group’s third single was released in August, but it started to gain popularity after the girls’ concert at a military camp was uploaded to their Facebook page at the end of October.

Music pundits said that the group’s racy performances including the sexy hip gestures contributed to increasing the group’s popularity.

In its effort to repay fans, the group recently had free street performances in popular spots in Seoul including Myeong-dong, Hongdae, Dongdaemun and Daehangno.

The group will appear on KBS 2TV’s “Music Bank” on Dec. 5 and MBC’s “Show! Music Central” on Dec. 6.
