Peter Coogan earned his Ph.D in American Studies at Michigan State University, writing his dissertation on “The Emergence of the Superhero Genre in America from Daniel Boone to Batman.” In addition to consulting on writing, comics, and superheroes at www.cooganconsulting.com, Coogan is co-founder and co-chair of the Comics Arts Conference, held annually at the San Diego Comic-Con International.
