Lowell Blanchard Track Graphic

Photo Gallery  |  Video Tour

The track was built in 2006 in honor of Dr. Lowell Blanchard, a WSU track star from 1924-26 who credited his success as a medical doctor to help overcome his speech impediment. He went on to deliver over 5,000 babies as a pediatrician in Jackson, Mich. The final Mondo surfacing was added in 2011 as a gift from Wayne County . The community uses the track as well as youth groups for clinics and camps.
