About the author (2013)

Dr E. A. Livingstone is the editor of the third edition of The Oxford Dictionary of the Christian Church, on which this concise volume is based. She was responsible for the organization of the International Conferences on Patristic Studies from 1971 to 1995 and edited the proceedings. For services to patristic scholarship she was made an MBE.
