About the author (1986)

PUNCH IMLACH was born in Toronto in 1918. A lifelong hockey man, his aggressive coaching style drove the Toronto Maple Leafs to four Stanley Cup Championships in ten years during the late 1950s and 1960s. He died in 1987. SCOTT YOUNG is Toronto-based author newspaper columnist. His journalism and his many books on hockey history have won national and international awards.
