Cards will be available at each of the locations during this time, and will also be available at The Cajun Heritage Fest. When you visit these locations (a minimum of 3), have a representative stamp your card with the official Experience stamp, and then after April 13, send it in to the Port Arthur Convention & Visitors Bureau to be entered into a drawing for a gift card basket.
Cajun Heritage Fest Cajun Acoustic Jam & Amateur Accordion& Fiddle Contest
Let’s start the Cajun Heritage Fest (CHF) weekend on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 6:30pm with a Cajun Acoustic Jam and Amateur Accordion/Fiddle Contest at The Texas Artists’ Museum, 3401 Cultural Center Dr, Port Arthur, TX. We will have gumbo and a fais do-do jam session with some of the Golden Triangle’s Cajun legends and all award winners Jude Moreau, Ed Poullard and Freddie Pate! All Cajun musicians welcome! This event is free and open to the public!
The CHF Accordion and Fiddle Contest is open to all who want to participate in and out of state. Participants must be 25 years and under, non-professional amateur musicians. To showcase our young talent to continue our commitment to preserving the culture and music! We will award a cash prize and the winner will play a song at the Cajun Heritage Fest on Saturday, with our headliner and superstar Jamie Bergeron!!!
