This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The fan-shaped sequence of ridges spreading east-northeastwards from its summit Madrid Dome (1650 m) on Oscar II Coast, Antarctic Peninsula. Extending 62 km in SW-NE direction and 44 km in NW-SE direction. Bounded by Crane Glacier to the NW, Exasperation Inlet to the NE and Flask Glacier to the S, and linked to Roundel Dome and Bruce Plateau to the WSW by a saddle of elevation 1550 m. British mapping in 1964. Named after the ancient Greek scientist Aristotle who in c. 350 BC was the first to conjecture the existence of a landmass in the southern high-latitude region, calling it Antarctica.
