| Zee News Limited (ZNL) de-merged from Zee Telefilms Limited on March 31st 2006 in pursuance of scheme of arrangement approved by the Hon. Bombay High Court on 17th November 2006. Zee News Limited(ZNL) touches the lives of millions of Indians thorough a clutch of news and regional entertainment channels. Our mission is to “Inform. Entertain. Empower”. The specific channels operated by Zee News Limited are Zee News, Zee Business, Zee Marathi, Zee Bangla, Zee Punjabi, Zee Gujarati, Zee Telugu and Zee Kannada. The launch of Zee 24 Taas, the first 24-hour Marathi news channel is around the corner. 24 Ghanta, a 24 hour Bangla news channel is operated by a subsidiary company known as Zee Akaash News Private Limited. 2007 -Zee News Limited has informed that the "The Board of Directors of Company at their meeting held on October 22, 2007 considered and decided the following : Appointment of Mr. Pushpal Sanghavi as Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of the Company in place of Mr. Shailesh Dholakia". 2008 -Zee News Ltd has inducted Mr. V V Ranganathan as an Additional Director in the category of Independent Director, on the Board of the Company 2009 -Mr. Punit Goenka has appointed as an Additional Director on the Board of the Company. -Zee News - De-merger of Regional Entertaiment Channels from Zee News Ltd. 2011 -Ruanne,Cunniff & Goldfard INC. has has submitted the disclosure under Substantial Acquisition of Shares & Take over Regulations,1997 and Prohibition of Insider Trading Regulations, 1992 of Securities & Exchange Board of India. 2013 -Zee News Ltd has informed that it is proposed to change the name of the Company from Zee News Limited to Zee Media Corporation Limited. -Zee Media Corporation Ltd have approved acquisition of upto 100% equity stake in Maurya TV Private Limited. 2014 -Zee Media Corporation Ltd has approved the Scheme of Amalgamation of Essel Publishers Private Limited with Zee Media Corporation Limited. -Zee Media Corporation Ltd has made right issue to eligible shareholders. 2015 - Zee Media Corporation Ltd has made rigths Issue to the Eligible Shareholders. - Zee Media Corporatio has issues rights to its existing shareholders in the Ration of 3:10 2016 -Zee Media Corp - Zee Media announces new leadership at DNA -32 new educational channels now available on DishTV -Zee News bags 5 Trophies at NT Awards |
