Song Joong-ki holds fan meet-and-greet to mark 10th anniversary of debut
SEOUL, Sept. 3 (Yonhap) -- Actor Song Joong-ki hosted a meet-and-greet event over the weekend to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his debut, his talent agency said Monday.
Blossom Entertainment said the event held at the Grand Peace Palace of Kyung Hee University in Seoul on Saturday attracted avid fans from all over Asia.
The actor known for the sensationally popular "Descendants of the Sun" talked about his career over the last decade and spoke candidly about his thoughts on acting and life in general. He also hosted a talk show on stage, inviting fans to share their stories.
Actor Lee Kwang-soo, who has been a good friend of Song for many years, came onto the stage as a special guest, and the two played a virtual game together.
"It feels weird that this year marks the 10th anniversary of my debut. ... So many good colleagues I've met so far have helped me cope well in this industry in which one can easily become lonely and exhausted," the actor said.
"I am ready to go for the coming 10 years. I will do everything to show new aspects of myself and give better performances. It's been an honor to be with you for 10 years."
He is preparing for his next television series "Asdal Chronicle," which will be on cable channel tvN. The exact broadcast schedule hasn't been confirmed yet.
