BALTIMORE (WBFF) - On Friday morning, Maryland's Department of Transportation announced the suspensions of all MARC Train services from January 17 through January 20.

In a statement on their website, the department notes:

In response to expanded security efforts associated with the upcoming Presidential inauguration, MARC Train will suspend all service on the Penn, Camden and Brunswick lines Sunday, January 17, through and including Wednesday, January 20. MARC Train is expected to resume service on all three lines on Thursday, January 21. MARC Train will operate as scheduled on Friday, January 15, and Saturday, January 16.

Further e-alert updates on the impacts to MARC Train operations will follow as information becomes available, including confirmation that service will resume on the morning of January 21.
