Closed doors? Thousands of Paris Saint-Germain fans create fiery atmosphere to greet team ahead of Dortmund clash despite coronavirus fears

Paris Saint-Germain supporters may not be allowed in the stadium tonight - but they still turned up in their thousands to give the team an incredible welcome ahead of the Champions League clash with Borussia Dortmund.

The coronavirus pandemic means the likes of Neymar and Jadon Sancho will do battle behind closed doors on Wednesday night - and you can listen to the action live on talkSPORT 2.

Dortmund lead the French champions 2-1 after the first leg, and PSG will need a spark if they are to keep their Champions League dream alive.

And their fans defied government advice on coronavirus to provide it, turning up in full force, with flags and flares, to create a fiery atmosphere outside the Parc des Princes.

Covid-19 cases in France have risen beyond 2281, including 48 deaths, and large gatherings over 1,000 people have been banned.

Kylian Mbappe, who has been named on the bench, reportedly tested negative for coronavirus after missing PSG training due to illness.

PSG boss Thomas Tuchel revealed Mbappe has been struggling with angina, a type of chest pain.

The German coach said: “Kylian is sick.

“He was sick yesterday and he is sick today with angina and we are trying to maybe have a light practice (with him) this evening.”

The deadly virus did not prevent Valencia fans turning up to support their team, either, ahead of the 4-3 defeat to Atalanta behind closed doors on Tuesday night.
