O'Sullivan 'may be greatest'
By Dan Warren
BBC Sport at The Crucible

Ronnie O'Sullivan
New world champion Ronnie O'Sullivan is arguably the best snooker player the sport has ever seen, according to beaten finalist Graeme Dott.

O'Sullivan took an inspired 18-8 win to clinch his second world crown, and Dott conceded: "He's phenomenally good.

"You have to say he is getting to the point where he could be considered the greatest of all time.

"He's got absolutely everything. He can even play left-handed. It's hard to see how he can lose when he plays well."

Dott added: "I don't know if he can match Stephen Hendry's seven world titles. It's up to Ronnie and his attitude.

"You don't know what he'll do next week, never mind next year.

"In the last few days I have learnt that Ronnie is just incredibly good. Everything in his game is strong."

Graeme Dott had no answer to O'Sullivan's magic
The whole tournament's gone like a dream

Dott had raced into a 5-0 lead early on in the final, but could not maintain the momentum.

"I was in dreamland at the start. But I would have only got carried away if it was first to six!" he said.

"I was just happy to win five frames. It's been unbelievable here. The whole tournament's gone like a dream."

And Dott was philosophical after O'Sullivan prevented his dream being fully realised.

"I felt the final went OK. I lost one session 6-2 and Monday afternoon 7-1. You beat yourself up about it, but he's just phenomenally good," he said.

"Normally if you lose a session you think of mistakes you made. Not this time. His safety is just brilliant.

"It could have been worse. I'm just happy I took him to a fourth session."
