Located at the base of the Chimanimani Mountains within the Chimanimani National Park on the eastern border of Zimbabwe, this Outward Bound School has worked hard to serve as a conduit for positive change in a country wrought with political and economic turmoil. They work with a broad spectrum of Zimbabweans, from school children to corporate managers. Outward Bound Zimbabwe has also become the leading expert in outdoor education in this region and it now offers wilderness search and rescue courses.

Students on an Outward Bound Zimbabwe course can spend three to 20 days exploring the true wilds of Eastern Zimbabwe, where they can see elephants, lions, buffalos, black rhinos and leopards as well as enjoy high mountain views and spectacular waterfalls. One unique activity has been dubbed the "Temple of Doom", a long traverse through a huge cleft in a rock face. The name comes from a couple of house-sized boulders wedged above the students' heads as they walk through.

The Outward Bound Center in Zimbabwe offers programs only for citizens of Zimbabwe. There are no programs offered to the general public and only groups from corporations and schools in Zimbabwe are currently being served. Travel to Zimbabwe is currently fraught with problems and generally not advised. See the US State Department for further information
