Welcome to the childcare establishment locator!
You can find the addresses of all childcare centres and day care centres in Québec and see where they are located on a map. The locator presents childcare services that are currently in operation as well as those in development that have been authorized by the Ministère de la Famille et des Aînés and are scheduled to open within the next 12 months. It is updated every week.
Regarding home childcare: by using the Proximity Search function, you can find out if there are any home childcare services within the search parameters you have specified. Where applicable, search results will display the contact information of the coordinating office(s) with which the located home childcare providers are associated. The coordinating office will help you to get in touch with the home childcare providers.

Starting on June 1, 2006, home childcare services will be coordinated by coordinating offices. Coordinating offices are mandated to recognize home childcare providers in their territory, offer them support, and ensure the application of regulated standards concerning home childcare providers. The vast majority of coordinating offices are childcare centre permit holders who have received accreditation to act as a coordinating office in a defined territory. The others are non-profit legal persons that have also been awarded accreditation.
To find a home childcare place, a parent can now contact one of the coordinating offices located in a nearby territory.
You can narrow your search to obtain the addresses of childcare services offering places at the reduced contribution ($7). You can also search only for childcare services that receive children younger than 18 months (infants).
Also available on the MFA's Web site is a directory (French only) containing the contact information of childcare centres and day care centres in operation or under development, and of home childcare coordinating offices in every region of Québec.
