Breeding Has the GGBP been a success? 20 bulls have now gained Production proofs in the UK since the launch of the Guernsey Global Breeding Plan (GGBP) in 2001.Comparisons between the Parent Averages on which they were selected and their "proofs" based on their daughters performance suggests that the results are better than expected. Breeding New Bull Proofs Aug 07 The August Bull Proofs were released by MDC yesterday and three more of the Guernsey Global Breeding Plan (GGBP) bulls gained a first proof.
The star graduate is Tiresford Pedro with a GMI of +378.

Breeding RAYWA herd dispersal 18/7/07 Ray Watson and Nick Phippen dispersed their RAYWA herd at Bristol on Wednesday with a very good trade for all ages of stock.The full siters by Myrtles Telestar and from the Xandina family were both bought by Colin Gleed and Walter Forrest with Lot 46 topping the sale at 2000gns. Shows The Royal Show 2007 Morris Grose judged the Guernsey classes at the rain affected RASE show and the fourth day was cancelled because of the state of the Car parks for the first time ever.

The show season is also under way in the South East of England. I understand that Rebecca Manford was placed as Champion at the Heathfield Show on the Saturday of the Spring Bank Holiday and that Nicola Dean's Hampton Lily won her Class in the AOB section of the South of England.
