MANILA, Philippines -- Philippine broadcasting company GMA Network Inc.'s initial public offering has been priced at 8.50 pesos per share, at the top end of its indicative price range, underwriter ATR Kimeng Capital Partners Inc. confirmed Monday.

GMA had said previously that it was considering selling 91.35 million common shares to domestic investors at between P7.00 and P8.50 apiece.

It will also sell 822.12 million Philippine depositary receipts, of which 70 percent have been allotted to foreign investors, at the same price.

The offer period starts Tuesday and trading in the shares and depositary receipts is scheduled to begin at the stock exchange here on July 30. – Enrico dela Cruz
