The Japanese Palace

The State Museum of Prehistory/Landesmuseum für Vorgeschichte in Dresden

The Japanese Palace (Japanisches Palais) was built in 1715 and named after the Asian motifs that are shown on the façade and the form of its roof. In 1786 the Palace was already used to accommodate the royal archaeological collection.
