A member of several international U.S. teams, Harrelson hopes to make her first Olympic Team. Generally a 1,500m runner, she also has shown great ability in the 800 meters, having placed fifth in that event at 2002 USA Outdoors and 2004 USA Indoorsknown for her fierce determination and competitiveness, Harrelson made amazing strides while attending Appalachian Statea former basketball player, at A-State she focused all of her attention on runningHarrelson won two NCAA titles, both at 1,500m, while at Appalachian Statein 2001, she qualified for her second international team, finishing fourth at the World University Games in China despite being injured. Harrelson hopes to use the sport to impact the lives of othersgraduated with a degree in Criminal Justice.
