    Reports, briefings, and analysis of violent conflicts and peace implementation in Tajikistan.
  • Military Policy Awareness Links (MiPALS) - Central Asia
    MiPALs are published by the National Defense University (NDU) Library to provide access to key U.S. policy statements on the country or topic for Military Education Research Library Network (MERLN) users. Central Asia includes Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
  • NTI - Tajikistan Profile
    Nuclear, biological, chemical and missile development programs, policies and activities from the Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI). NTI is non-profit organization with a mission to strengthen global security and fulfill the Non-Proliferation Treaty's goals and ambitions. NTI's members are from the United States, Russia, Japan, India, Pakistan, China, Jordan, Sweden, France and the United Kingdom.
  • Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe
    The OSCE is responsible for post-conflict elections, human rights and regional military stabilization. There are 56 participating states (including Tajikistan).
  • Tajikistan: Security Assistance
    Country-by-country listing provides information on Political-Military-administered security assistance funds from the Bureau of Political-Military Affairs.
  • United Nations Mission of Observers in Tajikistan (UNMOT)
    Dec. 1994-May 2000: "UNMOT was established in 1994 to monitor the ceasefire agreement between the Government of Tajikistan and the United Tajik Opposition. Following the signing by the parties of the 1997 general peace agreement, UNMOT's mandate was expanded to help monitor its implementation. The mission successfully accomplished the assigned tasks and on 15 May 2000 its mandate was terminated."
  • United States Central Command - Central Asian States
    U.S. Central Command conducts operations to attack, disrupt and defeat terrorism, deter and defeat adversaries, deny access to WMD, assure regional access, strengthen regional stability, build the self-reliance of partner nations’ security forces, and protect the vital interests of the United States within the area of responsibility. The Central Asian States include Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
