Trainee Special Constable (TSC) Roslan Bin Saharo passed away today after feeling unwell during a trial Individual Physical Proficiency Test (IPPT) at the Home Team Academy (HTA).

On 13 May 08 at about 6am, Roslan was among a group of 120 of trainees who reported for a trial IPPT. Shortly after he started his 2.4km self-paced run at 7.30am , a physical instructor spotted TSC Roslan stumble and fall. He was given prompt medical attention and conveyed by ambulance to the National University Hospital (NUH). Roslan passed away on 15 May 08.

Commander, Training Command, Deputy Assistant Commissioner Loy Chye Meng, expressed his condolences to the family, "I am saddened by the loss of such a young officer. Our hearts go out to the bereaved. The Police will render support and assistance in every way to TSC Roslan's family."

Jurong Police Division is investigating into the case.
