The Korean Broadcasting System has made the top ten favorite Korean companies of Chinese netizens.

Domestic firms Samsung Electronics, Hyundai Motor and LG also made the list in a survey of 15 million online users from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

The ten most influential entrepreneurs included Korea Football Association President Chung Mong-joon, Samsung Group Chairman Lee Kun-hee, Kumho Asiana Chairman Park Sam-koo and SM Entertainment President Lee Soo-man.

The most influential South Korean celebrities included singer Rain, actor Lee Jun-ki and actresses Song Hye-gyo and Jeon Ji-hyeon.

Among the ten terms that conjured images of Korea were drama, patriotism, the Korean alphabet Hangeul, the seasoned meat dish bulgogi and cosmetic surgery.

The three-month survey on Hallyu or the Korean wave was conducted by a newspaper and a Sino-Korean economic development association in preparation for 2007, the year deemed "Korea-China Cultural Exchange Year."
