Sunday: good afternoon, welcome back for the semi finals... This could be a first, we have fly stopped play! A big fly has landed on the table, obstructing the green and seems keen to show off its snooker skills! Selby pots the green to secure the frame so only 3-2 behind now, that was a tactical frame.. Selby has turned this match on its head now, from 3-0 behind he's levelled at 3-3... At last Ken stops the Selby run and edges ahead again... Meanwhile across in Austria, Ryan Day has taken a 1-0 lead over Jamie Cope in the final to the Austrian Open... This event is the warm up ahead of the IBSF World Championships which start on Monday... we'll have in depth coverage throughout the event... Some very interesting and familiar names in the Men's draw including James Wattana, Darren Morgan, Peter Francisco and Kirk Stevens, all of whom have qualified either as their Countries' national champion or through their ranking events... an Ken is into the final, he saved the best until last, with a frame winning visit... On to the second semi now, an interesting clash between Davis and Ding.. First blood to Ding with a run of 50, and in no time at all, straight from the Davis break Ding makes 71 to go 2-0 up.. Steve is very unlucky in frame three, knocked a red in off the black when opening the reds and left Ding right in... Steve broke down on 19 and Ding's dishes with 76 and it's 4-0 at the interval... Davis runs in 51 to avert the whitewash... ding rounds off in style with 101 to join Ken Doherty in tonight's final... Join us again in a couple of hours... and over in Austria Ryan Day now leads Jamie Cope 5-4 in the best of 11 final... I can now update that. Ryan Day has won 6-4 to take the 2008 Austrian Open title... Good evening and welcome back to a packed Epocentre in Warsaw, for the final... the match is best of 11 frames, first to 6 will be the winner... That's an encouraging start for Ken, making 61 when Ding left him in... tit for tat so far as Ding makes 71 in the second... Ken's mid frame 45 is enough for a 2-1 lead... Ding levels with a cracking 92 break... Ken takes the lead again... after a long scrappy frame Ding is level again... Ken dominates the next, he had Ding in all sorts of trouble in a snooker and then got in to make 56... Back comes Ding again, no more than a frame between them so far, are we heading for a dramatic conclusion... Ding goes 5-4 up but it so nearly went to Ken... Ding opened with 65, Ken needed a snooker, got it but eventually went for an impossibly thin pink and left it in the jaws... well what a fabulous frame and Ding is the winner. Ken made 46 but broke down 63-0 ahead and back came Ding with a stunning 64 clearance to win on the black.

Good afternoon and a warm welcome to chilly Warsaw. First on today is one of Poland's best known players, Rafal Gorecki, a former junior champion and regular international competitor, but he's up against Ken Doherty, so it's a tv debut and a real baptism of fire... and this is proving to be a bit of a nightmare for Rafal. Ken's already rattled in 54, 90 and 89, which is very useful form for him to build up ahead of a tough season trying to get his top sixteen place back. I've seen Rafal play many times and he's a very good player, but it's asking a lot to go out and perform in front of a huge crowd and tv cameras and one of the world's top players... Mark Selby takes centre stage now, but he's been given a good run for his money so far by Lublin's Mariusz Sirko, another of Poland's leading international players... Selby's won the first two but they were close. the table seems to be paying very well. They're using the EBSA endorsed WIK tables, which are used for all EBSA European events are are as fast and tight as any WSA tournament table, they're excellent tables.... drama in frame three as Sirko comes back from miles behind to earn a re-spot... which Selby pots. Selby eventually finds his range and bangs in a century to finish.... Join us again in a couple of hours for the remaining two quarter finals... Hello again, welcome back as Steve Davis is just starting his match against Marcin Jewtuch... the first frame has gone a bit scrappy, Steve's made a couple of 20s but couldn't turn them into substantial contributions... we are also covering the AUSTRIAN OPEN LIVE this weekend and you can keep up to date with all the latest scores from Wels where they're down to the semi finals now... Rafal had a chance then when Steve broke down on 48 but he missed a red to centre and Davis cleared up and he's done the same in the third, opening with 40 and clearing with 50... a clinical performance by Davis who's made 58 to clinch the match... Our last match tonight will feature Ding Junhui against another local Polish favourite, Piotr Murat. Piotr is now the Chairman of the Polish Association, and his administrative work must severely curtail his practice time. Earlier in the summer Poland played host to the European Championships and that is a huge job for any Association to tackle. It shows the strength of Polish snooker and its dedicated officials that this was the third time Poland had staged major European events. We were there in 2005 for the European championships and a few years ago for the European under 19s. Ding wins the first at a canter; with no disrespect to Murat, I think Ding is going to win this match easily and maybe he can run in some big breaks to entertain this huge Polish audience... Ding's second break over 70 gives him a 3-0 lead, after he nicked frame two on the pink. Ding wraps up a 4-0 victory, so join us on Sunday at 1pm GMT for the semi finals. Don't forget in the UK that you've got an extra hour in bed tonight! The clocks go back
