Church Street Library

Church Street Library is on the move.

Church Street Library closed for more improvement work on Monday 3 November 2008 and reopened in a temporary location close by at 97-99 Church Street where it will remain for several months until the work is complete. Opening times remain the same but some services will be affected. Please contact the library directly to check on the status of regular events.

Church Street Library is a bustling community library well used by the local residents. There is a very active children's library, used by the local children both for leisure and for studies, including activities for the Under 5s, homework clubs, a children's reading group and events during the school holidays. 

The library also holds a monthly Readers' Group and several regular groups:

• Bengali Women's reading and writing group (Fridays)
• ESOL basic literacy class (Mondays & Wednesdays - at new location)
• CV and employment advice  (Cancelled until further notice)
• English with IT  (Thursdays - at new location)
• A knitting group (Saturdays)
• Keeping Up With The Kids: helping children with homework (Thursdays in term time)

	There are 5 steps with handrails at the entrance.
