Comments: On July 4, Metro normally single-tracks between Rosslyn and Arlington Cemetery all day. However, due to a switch problem at Arlington Cemetery, Metro had to discontinue single-tracking. To turn Blue Line trains without the interlocking at Arlington Cemetery, Blue Line trains were offloaded at Rosslyn on the upper level, run under the river and through Foggy Bottom-GWU without passengers, and then turned at the interlocking east of Foggy Bottom. Outbound Blue Line trains then serviced Rosslyn from the lower level.
