First Lady style: Michelle Obama
The Obamas are in town this week and all eyes are on the fashion choices of First Lady Michelle.
Pictured here with the Queen yesterday, Mrs Obama opted for a classic black and white ensemble and a set of pearls to complete the demure look.
Michelle Obama has already been compared to Jacqueline Kennedy in the style stakes, due to her sleek (but not overdone) style.
The first African-American to become the First Lady of the United States, legal eagle Michelle grew up on the South Side of Chicago and graduated from Princeton University and Harvard Law School.
After completing her formal education, she returned to Chicago and accepted a position with a law firm and it was here that she met Barack. Michelle was actually assigned to mentor him while he was a summer associate.
The couple married in October 1992, and now have two daughters, Malia Ann, 10, and Natasha (known as Sasha), seven. Throughout Obama's 2008 campaign for President of the United States, Michelle made a commitment to be away overnight only once a week so that she could still be there for the girls.
In May 2006, Essence magazine listed Michelle among 25 of the World's Most Inspiring Women. And in July 2007, she made Vanity Fair's top 10 of the World's Best Dressed People.
We take a look at the sartorial elegance of America's First Lady.

CELEBRITY FASHION WATCH: HOT OR NOT?
- Celebrity Fashion Watch: Hot or Not? - 03rd April 2009
It's still very much arctic outside but it's April and we're determined to shed our heavy winter coats - even if it means we freeze over completely once we step foot outside the door. The celebs are doing the same: swapping puffy parkas and warm duffels for cute, cropped leather jackets and cardis.
- Celebrity Fashion Watch: Hot or Not? - March 2009
The British invasion is officially upon our neighbours across the pond, following the grand opening of Topshop in New York on Tuesday. The Yanks have finally got themselves four glorious storeys of rails imported from our favourite high street shop. We're a little bitter - but it's nothing a trip down to 216 Oxford Street, or Mecca, won't fix!
- Celebrity Fashion Watch: Hot or Not? - 31st March 2009
It's the last day of March, which means April Fool's Day is mere hours away - but after sizing up the truly laughable looks on show today, you'd be forgiven for thinking the celebs were already rolling out the pranks. Bai Ling and Kellie Pickler both try to pull a fashion fast-one on us - but reigning style queen Diane von Furstenberg steps in - with a killer pair of Louboutins - to save the day.
