"RUNAWAYS has always been near and dear to my heart," says series Editor Nick Lowe. I've been editing it since 2006 and it has always been a favorite of mine, but something special happened when Kathryn Immonen and Sara Pichelli came on board. Something clicked very loudly and there needed to be a song. I just love this new run so much I wrote the song. I recorded a demo using my computer and sent it to my brother, Matt Lowe. He took the mush and, using his genius, made it into actual music that I re-recorded the vocals on and VOILA!

"The last time we recorded a theme song was [for] my previous favorite book ever, NEXTWAVE," adds Lowe. "If that gives you any indication of the quality of this book. When I sent it to BKV [Brian K Vaughan], he responded that Matt and I were 'insane geniuses,' so that pretty [much] made my year."

Marvel Senior Art Director—and Mighty Marvel Podcast host—Jeff Suter worked with Lowe to create the music video. "Honestly, I didn't originally take to the idea when the concept [was] an opening montage of a sitcom or Saturday morning kids show for a video teaser for a comic book, knowing how much work would be needed to pull off [the] gag," admits Suter. "I mean, if it wasn't a fun and memorable catchy tune, the whole idea would fall apart in the first 10 seconds.

"Major kudos to Nick Lowe for his songwriting and musical abilities on this project," Suter continues. "As a professional musician, I can say with all seriousness, Nick has the chops! Thanks for making this project so easy for me, Nick!"

Which Runaway won't make it to the end of this arc? We won't spoil it here, but one thing is for sure—their lives will never be the same! Be sure to catch all the shocking details, beginning in RUNAWAYS #11!
