Blade's Pick:
I think this race will end up being between Rio De Janeiro and Chicago, with Tokyo being a dark horse.
It will have been a long time since the USA would have held the Olympics (20 years since the last Summer games were last held on the soil of the USA in Atlanta 1996, and 14 years since the last Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City 2002. Although, it'll be only 6 years since the Olympics would have last been held on North American soil: Vancouver 2010. I think it's too close to London 2012 for Madrid to be successful, although stranger things have happened, and Tokyo is a bit of a dark horse. Rio De Janeiro would face difficulties with infrastructure and logistics by today's standards, but with the Brazilian economy powering on, it could realistically make gains where needed by 2016.

My website is still online for only one reason: the high costs of maintaining this website are partially funded by Advertising, while the rest comes out of my own pocket (alas, moths aren't worth very much). If you have the time, clicking on any of the advertisements that appear on any of my pages would be highly appreciated. There are other ways you can support me too, without having to hand over a cent, some of which will actually make your life on the internet easier. I am also soliciting donations - but then again, who isn't? I haven't received any yet, but am still hopeful. Thank You!
