Presidents' Trophy
An annual award to the club finishing the regular season with the best overall record. The winner receives $350,000, to be split between the team and its players. History: Presented to the National Hockey League in 1985-86 by the NHL Board of Governors to recognize the team compiling the top regular season record.

The Red Wings (53-21-7, 113 points) clinched the Presidents' Trophy on Thursday, April 3, for the sixth time in franchise history following a 3-2 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets.
