  • Williams and Hendry Hurt in Crash

Snooker aces, Mark Williams and Stephen Hendry survived a crash last night.

The pair, who had earlier played in the Masters at London's Wembley Arena were on their way to a restaurant when they were hit from behind.

Williams told Global-Snooker.com, "I owe my sponsors an apology, but we were lucky that it was only a Mini Cooper.  I have no idea how fast he was going but he gave us a hell of a bang.

"My neck is killing me this morning and Stephen is complaining of a bad back. I am going to see the doctor later today, hopefully it won't affect my title chances."

Williams beat Rory McLeod earlier in the day after the qualifier failed to impress on his Wembley debut.

Hendry showed glimpses of the player that won seven world titles despite losing to 2005 world champion, Shaun Murphy.
