Missing Spring and Summer Images

At the time of spring (mid-March) and fall (mid-September) equinoxes, the satellites conserve power while in the earth's shadow, and satellite imagery is not available for up to a few hours at a time each night when the sun is behind the earth.

We currently have archived images going back 2 months.  The time interval between images varies depending on satellite and region. Details on time period between of the images in our archive are in the following table:
