Actor Song Il Gook will soon be making a trip to Iran on 18th August, to witness his fast growing popularity over there. Song Il Gook’s popularity is likely to soar even further when he is in Iran, largely due to the big success of his drama, Jumong which is being watched by over 70% of Iranians and is hailed as a national drama. Song Il Gook had been invited by LG Electronics to Iran for a 4D3N trip from 18th to 21st August where he will visit orphanages, nurseries on top of meeting with his fans.

stupid stupid people..you know nothing of who you call a great actor..you are a fan of someone who is a lier and who uses his mothers power for his own good..and to treat people like shit…and he thinks he is above the law..look into his back ground b4 you think he is sooo great…when you use the little people to gain power and fame than you should at least treat them with some sort of softness when you can…but these two his mother and him do not..but i believe all things have a way of evening out, and one day they will pay for what they did…

it’s because the political situation in the series is very similar to iran’ s situation after the election( selection) .
song il gook is really a great actor…(especially in jumong) he got all the major mbc awards in 2006…top excellence award for actor,daesang awards and rank as no.1 popular actor (old and new alike)
congrats SIG… 70% rating is really amazing in a drame series plus the fact that its period type…. he’s really such a great actor…

With the popularity of Jumong, I’m sure Iran will air his other dramas too. Emperor of the Sea is a must see, and t hey cannot miss Kingdom of the Wind.
I just can’t wait to see him in the next project.
