Notes: Murphy holds a commanding 8-1 lead at the end of the night. Murphy has surged into a 6-1 lead now, a guaranteed lead overnight. Murphy cracks in a ton to go 4-1 ahead. It takes 40 minutes bfore Murphy manages to clinch the third frame. That's a good start for Gerard, a nice run of 53 will help settle his nerves. The final match of the first round is under way.	Notes: At last Murphy puts an end to the match with a flawless 87. Greene is still relentlessly clawing back the frames, a fabulous 92 there and he's only 9-7 behind now. Murphy is really struggling to put this match away. Gerard has nicked that one on the pink. Greene ensures the match will go beyond the interval. He makes a good 65 after Murphy missed a couple of routines balls. Greene cracks in 67 to keep the match alive. Murphy wins a scrappy frame and gets to within one of the winning line. A good start for Green with runs of 38 and 50 to take the first of the afternoon. It should be fairly straightforward to Murphy to close out this match. Gerard had a poor session yesterday and has left himself far too much to do.
