     Match Notes:

Murphy saves the best until last, rounding off victory with a magnificent 128 clearance.

A thirty six minute war of attrition ends in Murphy's favour and he's two up, needing one more to progress.

Murphy made 50, missed a red. Ding had Murphy in big trouble on the last red, but then left the yellow on and Murphy leads for the first time since the opening frame of the match.

That was a huge frame. Murphy got in first. Ding countered with a good 51 as the balls were very awkward, but he left the last red on and Murphy pinched the frame and they're level again.

A sublime total clearance by Ding and he's back in front again.

All square again as Murphy nips in with a 31 clearance.

Ding takes the first of the evening to regain a narrow lead.

Murphy wins the session 5-3 and that levels the scores ahead of tonight's final session.

Murphy fights back again to close the gap to one frame. One more to play in this session.

Ding is maintaining his two frame advantage. As soon as Murphy pulls one back, Ding goes ahead again.

Murphy punches in 64 to pull a frame back.

The players are back after the interval and I can exclusively reveal that Ding's mother is tucking into the nice custard doughnuts that Rob Walker bought for the media centre.

Ding regains his two frame lead after Murphy goes in off the brown.

A clever safety shot by Ding which split the reds, gave him the chance to regian the lead.

Murphy has flown out of the blocks this morning and in less than half an hour he's levelled the match, with a brilliant century break.

Ding squandered the first chance of the morning and Murphy stepped in with 72.

Good morning, welcome to a bright and sunny Sheffield. A packed Crucible is eagerly anticipating watching to see how this match will unfold. Ding was slow to get started yesterday but he finished the session the stronger player. Eight more frames this morning to set up the final shoot out tonight.

Ding holds on to win a 43 minute frame and earn a 5-3 lead overnight.

Murphy closes the gap as Ding fails to get the snookers he needed in the seventh frame.

Ding punishes Murphy to go two up. Murphy lead 61-0 and Ding cleared with 78.

Ding bursts into life after the interval with 103.

All square at the interval and that wasn't the quickest four frames I've ever watched, mainly because both players kept breaking down short of the winning line.

Both players are still missing balls, but Ding gets away with a missed red to take the third with 68.

Murphy gets away first with a run of 53 after Ding missed an easy pink in the balls.

What an eagerly anticipated match this is. But it's a nervy start by both players in the opening frame.
