Averaged 5.7 points, 5.4 assists, 2.2 rebounds and 25.7 minutes in 61 games, 59 of which were with Golden State and two with Charlotte....Shot .897 from the line....Became the 19th player in league history to record 6,000 assists on 1/29/98 vs. Houston....Led Warriors in assists 36 times, including a season high of 11 on 3/1/98 at Cleveland.

1996-97:
Averaged 8.0 points, a team-best 7.2 assists, 1.26 steals and 28.9 minutes in 65 games with Charlotte....Ranked 14th in the NBA in assists and first with a 4.34 assist-to-turnover ratio....Tied his career high of 24 points at Philadelphia on 12/17/97....shot .417 from beyond the arc and made 60 three-pointers.

1995-96:
Played in only six games due to a left knee injury with Charlotte.

1994-95:
Averaged a career-high 11.1 points to go along with 8.7 assists and 3.3 rebounds in 78 contests with Charlotte....ranked 5th in the NBA in assists....finished 5th in the NBA with a .889 free throw percentage....scored his 5,000th career point at Washington on 1/31/95...Joined John Stockton as one of only two players in the NBA to distribute 600 or more assists in each of the last six seasons....Posted a career-best free-throw percentage of .889 to finish fifth in the league....Finished the season as the NBA's all-time leader in assists-to-turnovers ratio....Twice during the season Bogues recorded 17 assists in a game.

1992-93:
Averaged 10.0 points, 8.8 assists and 3.7 rebounds in 81 games with Charlotte....placed 5th in the NBA in assists and second in the East Playing 35.0 minutes per game and averaging 10.0 points, it marked the first double-figure scoring season of Bogues's professional career...Led Charlotte in assists and steals (1.99 per game) for the fifth consecutive season...Ranked fifth in the NBA and second among Eastern Conference guards in assists. Ended a string of 199 consecutive appearances when he was unable to play against Minnesota on 3/18/00...Averaged 9.8 points and 7.8 assists in Charlotte's nine playoff games.

1991-92:
Played in all 82 games for the first time in his NBA career, logging 34.0 minutes per game....Ranked fourth in the NBA in assists (9.1 apg) and eighth in steals (2.07 per game)....Scored a seson-high 22 points at San Antonio on March 16...Ranked 4th in assists and 8th in steals with a career high of 170 thefts

1990-91:
Played in 81 games, finishing 11th in the NBA with 8.3 assists per game....Averaged 7.0 points and 2.7 rebounds....Logged at least 100 steals (137) for the fourth straight season, leading the Hornets in that category once again.

1989-90:
Charlotte fans named Bogues the team's Most Valuable Player after the 1989-90 season....Finished the year ranked fourth in the NBA in assists (10.7 apg) and 11th in steals (2.05 per game), leading the club in both categories for the second straight season....Played in 81 games and improved his scoring to 9.4 points per game....Poured in a season-high 22 points twice-against Sacramento on 3/3/00 and against Boston on 2/7/00....Equaled a franchise record with 7 steals on 11/17/00 against Golden State and twice recorded season highs of 18 assists.

1988-89:
Became a charter member of the Charlotte Hornets when the club selected him in the NBA Expansion Draft prior to the 1988-89 season. Averaged 10.7 assists to rank fourth in the league....Led the NBA in assists-to-turnovers ratio (5.0-to-1) and ranked 12th in the league in assists per game (7.8)....In the season finale against the Boston Celtics on 4/23/00, Bogues dished for a then Hornets franchise-high 19 assists....Led Charlotte with 111 steals for the season and reached double figures in assists 25 times....Averaged 5.0 points on the year.

1987-88:
Appeared in 79 games, leading the team in assists (404) and steals (127) while averaging 5.4 points and 5.1 assists.

COLLEGE:
A graduate of Dunbar High School, where he played on a team with future NBA players Reggie Williams, Reggie Lewis and David Wingate, Bogues attended Wake Forest...As a senior in 1986-87 he led the Demon Deacons in scoring (14.8 ppg) and finished second among Atlantic Coast Conference guards in rebounding (3.8 rpg). He left college as the ACC's all-time leader in assists and steals (since surpassed by Chris Corchiani and Bobby Hurley)....Led the conference in assists and minutes for his last three years....Received the Francis Pomeroy Naismith Award in 1987 as the nation's top player under six feet tall.
