Next week will be the test for Survivor. I would think Hell’s Kitchen might do some damage since those two shows likely share viewers. Survivor certainly will have the most viewers for the night.

Yea but viewers sadly don’t count. It’s all about the almighty 18-49 adults, like people under 17 or over 49 don’t have money to spend.

Overall viewership-wise, Hellcats seems to be doing good for a rookie show after 2 weeks. I have to admit that I’m way out of the demographic of this show (36 yr old male), but I find the show very entertaining. I think if it stays above 1.0, it should get a full season or at least 5-6 more episodes. I think cost-wise, the show doesn’t look super expensive to produce and the cast is mostly unknowns.

I’m still thinking Survivor will get the best 18-49 numbers for the night. But it will be a couple of tenths below the premiere.

Bravo Survivor, 4.0! Big Brother at 2.9, not bad, I still thought it would get a 3.0+ but well it’s still very good performance for the show.
AGT’s 3.9 is really good, it did have a couple of lower than usual rated episodes this edition but it still managed to end on hight note.
Masterchef’s number are OK since it was up against very strong competition.
Hellcats is still OK, but it’s the best ANTM lead out show CW had in awhile but W18-34 should improve. I’m suspecting this show does well on the T12-17 demo
I’m guessing The CW will renew it just becasue they have too many old shows that will end soon. They need something to replace it, so I doubt Hellcats will get the ax with these okay numebrs.
CW shows that may/will end after this season:
Smallville
One Tree Hill
Supernatural (?)
Very good point.
I am certain that we’ll write about that many times this year.
Agree and CW hasn’t announced if they have a scripted series for midseason so there are few options for them.
But of course, CW could just program Mon to Thu next season and have Fridays with ANTM/ Vampire Diaries reruns
Hellcats is a great show.I’m happy that its doing good
Survivor was also great last night.I think I’m gonna enjoy this season.
Outlaw will be dead when it goes to friday. So enjoy while it last.

I really like Jimmy Smits. His portrayal of Bobby Simone on “NYPD Blue” was excellent. In particularly, I thought his performance during Simone’s death arc (with due credit to the writers, and equal kudos to Kim Delaney) was one of the moving, genuine portrayals of human experience that you’re likely to see on broadcast television… ever.
That said, the premiere of “Outlaw” just reeked of TV falseness. It wasn’t just that it was preposterous for his character to have such a reversal of beliefs; it was that that reversal was complete in the first quarter-hour of the program. How could the writers/producers expect anyone to believe in the character’s complete moral rebirth if they didn’t lay the groundwork for understanding the motivations behind it (his deceased father’s video comments notwithstanding) and how those motivations could overturn a lifetime of behavior. It all happened wayyyyy too fast to be credible, in my opinion. Perhaps it was a necessary evil in creating and selling the pilot, but it turned me off.
I’ll give “Outlaws” couple more episodes to reverse MY point of view.
As I’ve said in past postings, I think Smits still has the clout to draw viewers to a program, but they won’t stay if the show is no good (see: Cane).
I watched the premiere episode of Outlaw from FRI (the actual premiere episode, not the preview) earlier today. I think the show has promise, but overall, it’s just another legal show at the federal level. I enjoyed the first episode. I am a Jimmy Smits fan. He has always had a “thing” for leaving a series after 4-5 years to avoid typecast (L.A. Law, NYPD Blue). So, if Outlaw succeeds, how long will he stay? If anything is going to kill Outlaw (as it will CSI: NY (my favorite of the 3 in the franchise)), it’s going to the dreaded FRI night bill. Perhaps Dennis Franz could come out of hybernation and be an antagonist to Jimmy Smits’ character. Outlaw has promise; just lacks the magic that will make it succeed.
