    Quarter Finals

    Some very hard fought and long quarter final matches this morning. Peter Lines edges the Northern Snooker Centre battle over David Grace.

    Ken Doherty eventually overcame Paul Davison after three and a half hours.

    Easier wins for Michael White who trounced Jak Jones 5-0 and Craig Steadman who beat Ricky Walden 5-2.

    Last 16

    Ken Doherty booked a place in the quarter finals with a 5-0 win over Lee Shanker, highlighted by a run of 96, to add to 110 against Gareth Allen in the previous round.

    Michael White needed a snooker and a green to black clearance to beat Matthew Selt 5-4 on the black. Selt made 118 and 60 and White 83, 70.

    Jack Jones produced another brilliant performance to oust Stuart Bingham 5-4. Having led 2-0 Jones had to watch Bingham win three on the spin, but the teenager held his nerve.

    Round Two

    An amazing match between Jamie Cope and Andrew Norman. Cope won the first two with breaks of 50, 88. Norman won the next four with 70, 51, 62, 55. Cope made 70 and 80 to level and Andrew hit 58 to take the decider.

    Sixteen year old Jak Jones came from 4-2 down to beat Main Tour Pro Chris Norbury 5-4.

    Round One

    All matches this weekend are best of 9 frames.

    Fergal O'Brien, Mark Joyce, Jamie Dykes, Joe Swail, Jeff Williams are no shows so Peter Lines, Robbie Williams, Jamie Cope, Jak Jones, Stuart Bingham & Michael White receive walkovers to Round Two.

    Highlight of round one is a break of 136 by Ian Burns, but despite that Chris Norbury beat him 5-2

    David Grace rattled in 118, 60 and 58 in a 5-3 win over Dave Harold

    Ricky Walden went 4-1 up over Matthew Day, but Day battled back to 4-4 before Walden won the decider.
