The new dining hall will feature a convenience store and a Dunkin' Donuts. The Oaks will also have many green elements, including wind generated power to help charge catering vehicles that will travel across campus, and a rooftop garden that will provide fresh produce for the kitchen.
"With new culinary cuisine, new meals plans, new services this - coupled with the new residence halls - will give a new enriched living experience for our students here on campus," said Michael Paulus, BGSU director of dining services.
The Oaks is expected to be complete in time for the fall 2011 semester.
