Fees Disclaimer

Message for universities: fees queries?

All figures presented are indicative only and are based on information publicly available which may be incomplete. QS invites readers of these rankings to contact individual universities directly to obtain up to date information on specific course fees. The USD exchange rate used is that as of 01/01/2011. The fees information are presented in ranges. We have endeavoured to identify the average cost of undergraduate courses excluding outliers such as medicine, veterinary science MBA and other subjects which typically present significantly higher fees than the majority of the other undergraduate and graduate courses offered by universities.

QS was not able to confirm the accuracy of the fees information with all the universities featured by the publication date, therefore we reserves the right to update the information from time to time. Due to complexities and differences in tertiary education fee structures around the world, the following countries’ current system should be noted.

Australia

Most domestic students are Commonwealth supported for their undergraduate degrees. Domestic undergraduate students are only required to pay part of the cost of tuition called a “student contribution”. Full fee-paying (non-Commonwealth supported) domestic students are no longer accepted by public Australian tertiary education institutions from 2011. There is currently a four band fee system. The figures presented for domestic undergraduate students were taken as a mean average of the four bands.

India

Average fees for undergraduate degrees at University of Delhi, University of Pune, University of Mumbai and University of Calcutta are not available. Affiliated colleges have differing fee structures, available on their websites. Foreign student fees may differ depending on the course and the nationality.

United Kingdom

The figures reported for the UK are based on the anticipated tuition fee increases in 2012 in order to reflect the potential cost to prospective students more accurately.

European Union

Reciprocal fee arrangements exist allowing EU students to studying in any EU country to pay the same fees as domestic undergraduate students. Some exceptions may apply.
