    Dominic Dale won the 3 Kings Open Snooker in Ranwil Austria, beating fellow pro Matthew Couch in the final.

    Dale, now based in Vienna, Austria, came through a field of 48 players from ten European countries, before clinching a 5-1 win over Couch in the final.

    Couch beat the 2008 winner, Belgian Main Tour Pro, Bjorn Haneveer 4-1 in their semi final, while Dale beat Austria's Martin Kempter 4-2.

    New Zealand's former professional Chris McBreen went down 4-1 to Couch in the quarter finals, as did 2007 European Champion Kevin Van Hove, ousted by Kempter.

    The highest break of the event, 139, was made by Holland's Maurice Le Duc. Dale notched three centuries, 120, 114 and 103, while Bjorn Haneveer contributed 107 to the break board.
