Our role

The Government Olympic Executive (GOE), which is part of the DCMS, oversees the entire London 2012 project. Visit the Government Olympic Communication online press centre.

We supervise £9.3 billion of public sector funding which comes from a variety of sources including central Government, London authorities and the National Lottery. We produce Quarterly Economic Reports and Annual Reports* which provide a full financial update on our progress.

We will ensure that the Games are delivered on time, on budget and for the benefit of the whole country.
