Shanghai Masters 2011
Eight matches of the Shanghai Master first round were played on the first day of the tournament. There were only a few upsets with Mark King knocking out world number one Ali Carter and last year’s winner, Peter Ebdon being knocked out by Fergal O’Brien and Anthony Hamilton beating Stephen Maguire. Ronnie O’Sullivan, Shaun Murphy, Mark Allen, Jamie Cope and Mark Selby all managed to progress into the second round.
