Mark Allen fought back from three frames down to beat Tom Ford 5-4 in the first round of the German Masters in Berlin on Thursday.

The Antrim player made a poor start to trail 3-0 but he managed to find form in time to edge through.

The reward for Allen is a meeting with Englishman Judd Trump in the last 16 on Thursday night.

The match will be a repeat of the UK Championship final in December, where Trump edged out Allen 10-8.
