Caltech's Wordmark

A "wordmark" is a standardized typographical representation of the name of the Institute, for purposes of identification and branding.

A wordmark is usually a distinct text-only typographic treatment. The representation of the word becomes a visual symbol of the organization or product.

As yet, Caltech has no official wordmark. However, the following guidelines should be noted:

In addition to the wordmark, there are some other important points to remember when using the name Caltech.

1. You may use all upper or lower case letters to write the name of the Institute, or you may begin with an initial capital "C".

2. The name Caltech must never be spelled with an upper-case "T" in the midst of other lower-case letters. This usage is wrong.



3. The word "Caltech" must never be separated into two words.
