Liang Wenbo
Liang Wenbo became the fourth player from mainland China to reach the final stages of the Betfred.com World Championship with a nervy 10-9 win over Marcus Campbell.

Liang will join Cao Yupeng, Liu Chuang and Ding Junhui - as well as Hong Kong's Marco Fu - in a record Asian contingent at the Crucible.

He led Campbell 8-2 with a top break of 136, but Campbell fought all the way back to 9-9 before the match was pulled off, with the evening session games about to start. Liang had time to compose himself, and when they returned he made an excellent break of 72 to seal victory.

Peter Ebdon continued the superb form which gave him the Bank of Beijing China Open title as he white-washed Alfie Burden 10-0. The 2002 World Champion's top breaks were 102, 58 and 50.

David Gilbert beat Fergal O'Brien 10-4, pulling away from 4-4 to win the last six frames with top breaks of 77 and 70. Tamworth's Gilbert last reached the Crucible in 2007, when he led Stephen Hendry 5-1 in the first round before losing 10-7.

Barry Hawkins beat David Morris 10-4 and Andrew Higginson saw off Peter Lines by the same scoreline. Joe Perry saw an 8-2 lead over Jamie Burnett almost gone at 9-8, but he eventually clinched victory 10-8.
