2NE1 wins big at Cyworld Digital Music Awards

K-pop girl group 2NE1 was the biggest winner in the Cyworld Digital Music Awards last March 1, bagging four prestigious awards including the plum for being the biggest selling artist for 2009.

Besides bagging the "top seller award," 2NE1—composed of Sandara Park, CL, Park Bom, and Minzy—also won the Best Rookie Group, Best Song for “I Don’t Care” and Best Artist awards.

The pop group thanked their fans for their continued support.

Receiving the Bonsang award are: Girls Generation for “Gee,” Davichi for “8282;” Lee Ssang for "The Girl Who Can’t Let Go;” Brown Eyed Girls for "Abracadabra;" Big Bang for "Hallelujah;" MC Mong for "Indian Boy;" 2NE1 for "I Don’t Care;" 2PM for "Heartbeat;" G-Dragon for "Heartbreaker;" and 8eight for "Without a Heart."

Seo In Gook won as Best Male Rookie for “Calling You” and Ali bagged the Best Female Rookie for “365 Days.”

Park Hyo Shin was awarded the 2009 Hall of Fame for “Snow Flower” while Chrisette Michele was the Best International Artist for “What You Do,” which featured Ne-Yo.

The Tam Eun Mania Award was given to Jang Giha and Faces for “The Moon is Waxing, Let’s Go.”

The Best Composer award went to Jo Yeong Soo while the Collaboration Award was given to Jung In.

The Official Soundtrack Award went to SS501 for “Because I’m Stupid,” which was used in the hit drama series “Boys over Flowers.”

Big Bang’s "G-Dragon" won the Ting’s Choice Award.

The Distribution Company awards went to Mnet Media (Korea) and Universal Music Korea (overseas).

Fans trooped to the Seoul Olympic Park to attend the event and see their favorite Korean artists perform and receive the various awards.
