wooo yay for The Voice
My guess is that Go On gets a 3.0 in demos and 9 million viewers.
Wow, that’s not good for “The New Normal.” Just wait until it moves to its regular timeslot; it’s going to sink like a stone.
@The Original J,
You don’t have long to wait; just a few more hours.
Paul…..I wish I had what you are smoking!
2.5 really isn’t that bad for 10:00, actually quite good for NBC, but I’m hoping it can hold that tonight
The real test will be when NCIS LA comes back
@kasaja
He’s not smoking anything, I could definatly see Go On get above 3.0, it’s repeat the other night (this was it’s second repeat) got a 1.8 rating, which many NBC originals get and they get renewed!
I don’t think people realize that this is NBC, not ABC and not CBS. It’s NBC.
So for them to get a 4.2 on The Voice and a 2.5 for The New Normal, that’s actually GOOD NEWS for them. But, people love the pick and they love it when they see other fail, so I guess it’s only normal for them to laugh at NBC.
But, say what you want and see it how you will, NBC did good last night and if The Voice and The New Normal can maintain these numbers throughout the season and not fall too far (mid-low 1′s), be sure they’ll be back again.
I am LOVING LA Complex this season. A couple of the storylines are boring but Raquel’s and Calvin’s are just GREAT.
I like that new nickname being thrown around on other sites The New Failure because that’s exactly what is was a failure in terms of quality and ratings.
LAC held up really well in finals, the new timeslot the network gave it was a really good move.
@iMember I agree NBC’s numbers weren’t too bad last night, but it’s really too early to make any predictions especially for The New Normal at this point. In the past few years, NBC’s had a few new shows that started off pretty well, only to fall in subsequent weeks (The Event, Whitney, Up All Night), so I’m not entirely confident they’ll maintain mid 2s. Once people have sampled the first few episodes and the other broadcast networks have their fall premieres, we’ll get a better sense of what to expect. But like you said, as long as it doesn’t fall to mid-to-low 1s, it should be a keeper, particularly with The Office and 30 Rock entering their final seasons.
@iMember
This numbers would be good if both shows could keep it for the entire season, but this is just the premiere and they will fall until the end of the season.
I just want SMASH to return already…
The New Failure will do even worse tonight. Thank god they still have Whitney on the comedy roster.
@Alysse I agree, I agree. The real test will start off tonight to see how well Go On and The New Normal do in their regular time periods. But like I said, and you said, should they maintain or at least hold sufficient enough numbers and not drop too far (low – mid 1′s), NBC will likely keep them.
@glover That’s what I said. I know the numbers will fall as the season goes along (that’s normal), but once they begin to level off and should they maintain good numbers, they’ll be fine for NBC.
@Homer You lost all credibility the minute you said you were thankful that Whitney still exists.
@ iMember
You lost all credibility as soon as you started typing in responses trying to backup these failed new comedies on the Peacock.
I was so CLOSE.
Am i good or what? If i continue this way, expect TV by the numbers to start pay me for this.(smile)

“In my opinion – the voice will be around 4.5 and new normal around 2.5.”
Why CBS are so bad. That is too bad even for repeats.
@iMember
Well less and less people think these days. And that is the main problem.
NBC is way better than last year. The voice is twice as the sing-off for example.
@iMember
One more thing let me add less and less people think these days more and more hate. Sorry people. Hard true(not sure where heard this phrase…Game of thrones of course. Blackwater.)
